Natali Hopkins is an embroidery and textile artist whose work transforms buildings and landscapes into narrative, story-rich environments. The daughter of an architect and an educator, she grew up attuned to both structural detail and the power of storytelling. Hopkins’ embroidery has been exhibited at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery and has received numerous ribbons at the Orange County and Los Angeles County Fairs recognizing her excellence in needlework. She lives in Echo Park with her partner and two cats, Eazy and Bill.
Natali is also a filmmaker.
Natali is a filmmaker and producer whose work blends a cinematic sense of framing and narrative with a commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices. She spent over thirteen years in television as a Production Manager on non-fiction series for Fox, NatGeo, Bravo, GSN, MTV, Logo, and the CW before moving into digital media, producing projects for Machinima and OMGFacts/Dose Media. Her project LeBron: The Musical earned her a 2017 Webby Award nomination, and her short film InstaDesert received the 2018 Mary Austin Award at the Idyllwild Film Festival. Hopkins also led the Innovative Programs department at the American Film Institute, supporting emerging and underrepresented filmmakers, including the prestigious DWW+ Program.
